You will play a key role in turning financial and operational data into meaningful insights that support better business decisions, improve profitability and strengthen commercial performance.
This is a hands-on analytical role where you’ll go beyond reporting the numbers - identifying trends, challenging existing ways of working, highlighting risks and opportunities, and providing recommendations that make a real difference to the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate and insightful weekly revenue and portfolio performance reporting.
- Analyse large datasets to identify trends, performance drivers and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain reporting, dashboards and commercial tools using Excel and Power BI.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, capital expenditure and ROI assessments.
- Provide commercial insights to support customer growth and share-of-wallet opportunities.
- Identify revenue risks and opportunities for improved profitability and cost optimisation.
- Maintain rate cards and pricing tools.
- Support contract reviews, pricing schedules, rise and fall mechanisms and customer reporting.
- Assist with tenders, pricing reviews and contract variation assessments.
About You
You’ll be an analytical and commercially focused professional who enjoys getting into the detail while keeping sight of the bigger business picture.
You’ll bring:
- 3+ years’ experience in commercial analysis, finance, business analytics or a similar commercially focused role.
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
- Exposure to supply-chain, contract logistics and transport industries.
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and scenario analysis.
- Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence and reporting tools.
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, management accounting, FP&A; or commercial finance.
- Experience working with revenue models, rate cards, P&L; and cost-to-serve.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders across the business.
- A proactive approach with the ability to identify opportunities and turn analysis into action.
- CA/CPA membership or progress towards qualification is desirable.
