Miles Plastics is seeking to hire two skilled people, a CNC Router Operator and a Laser Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team on a full time basis at our facility in Caloundra West, QLD 4551. These positions are pivotal within our production operations. Your expertise will be critical to maintaining our production schedules, ensuring product quality, and driving operational efficiency across our manufacturing processes.
Key responsibilities CNC Router Operator
- Operating and monitoring CNC router machines
- Programming CNC machines using appropriate software
- Conducting machine setup, tool changes, and calibration to ensure precision and accuracy in all manufactured parts
Key responsibilities Laser Machine Operator
- Operating and monitoring CNC router machines
- Programming CNC machines using appropriate software
- Conducting machine setup, tool changes, and calibration to ensure precision and accuracy in all manufactured parts
Key responsibilities for both
- Performing quality inspections on finished components to verify they meet required specifications and tolerances
- Optimising cutting parameters and production processes to improve efficiency and reduce material waste
- Maintaining a clean,
safe and organised work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Keeping accurate records of production runs, material usage, and any adjustments made during operations
- Collaborating with production supervisors and other team members to meet production targets and deadlines
What we're looking for in
- Proven experience operating and programming CNC router machines in a manufacturing environment or experience operating a Laser Machine
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain tight tolerances and produce high quality work
- Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
- Experience with specific software platforms such as CorelDraw, Illustrator or similar and SolidWorks, Enroute, or similar systems would be advantageous
