Our client is a Federal Government agency seeking an experienced Environment & Release Manager to support the coordination and delivery of complex ICT releases across a large enterprise technology environment.
This role will work across delivery, testing, engineering and business teams to coordinate release schedules, manage environment dependencies and ensure releases progress through the required governance and change processes.

The role
You will support end-to-end release and environment management across multiple applications and technology platforms, coordinating release activity across internal teams, delivery partners and vendors.
Key responsibilities include:

- Coordinate and manage ICT releases across multiple applications, projects and programs
- Develop and maintain detailed release schedules, balancing technical dependencies, business requirements and competing priorities
- Work with testing and engineering teams to identify environment requirements, constraints and dependencies
- Coordinate release content reviews, readiness assessments, milestone reviews and Go/No-Go activities
- Develop and maintain release, deployment, implementation and runbook documentation
- Work closely with release engineers to understand code branches, merges and deployment impacts
- Provide regular release reporting and represent release status through ICT Change Management and planning forums
- Ensure releases comply with required change, cyber security, penetration testing and governance processes
- Coordinate across internal delivery teams, external partners and technology vendors.
- Identify opportunities to continuously improve release and change management processes.

About you
To succeed in this role you will need:





- Significant experience in Release and Environment Management in government or large enterprise organisations
- Strong experience planning, coordinating and managing software releases in complex ICT environments
- Experience using release management, work management and deployment tracking tools
- Strong understanding of release management, change management and associated governance processes
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent releases and dependencies across several portfolios such as Salesforce, MuleSoft, EDW, SAP, APIC, Environments, Data, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, including identifying release risks and issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication with strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work effectively across development, testing, engineering, operations and business teams
- Good understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Project management experience within software or technology environments will be highly regarded
- An awareness of contemporary AI capabilities, risks and their practical application within ICT environments

This role requires Australian citizenship, and the successful candidate must be able to obtain a Baseline security clearance.
