ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Managing Director, the General Manager – Tasmania is responsible for the overall leadership, performance and strategic direction of Clover Pipelines’ Tasmanian operations.

This is a senior leadership position with responsibility across operations, sales, customer relationships, financial performance, people, safety, quality and continuous improvement.

The General Manager will lead the Tasmanian business to achieve company objectives and targets while ensuring the operation remains safe, efficient, commercially focused and aligned with Clover’s broader strategy and vision.

Working closely with the wider Clover leadership team, the role will identify opportunities for growth, strengthen key customer and industry relationships, develop employees and continually improve business performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Leadership & Performance

· Provide overall leadership and direction for Clover’s Tasmanian operations.

· Implement and achieve agreed company objectives, targets, strategies and business plans.

· Take ownership of the overall performance, productivity and profitability of the Tasmanian business.

· Monitor operational, financial, sales and activity performance against agreed targets and KPIs.

· Identify opportunities to improve business performance, service delivery and operational efficiency.

· Prepare, review and analyse business reports to support effective decision-making.

· Work collaboratively with the Managing Director and wider leadership team to support Clover’s strategic direction and growth.

Operations & Continuous Improvement

· Maintain oversight of all site operations to ensure safe, efficient and effective business performance.

· Evaluate existing business processes, systems and workflows and identify opportunities for improvement.

· Implement and maintain procedures and systems that improve operating efficiency, productivity and service.

· Ensure operational resources are effectively planned and aligned with business requirements.

· Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and high performance across the Tasmanian operation.

· Ensure appropriate standards of quality, compliance and operational governance are consistently maintained.

Financial & Commercial Management

· Coordinate financial and budget activities to maximise operational output, profitability and cost efficiency.





· Monitor financial performance and ensure appropriate commercial controls are maintained.

· Review performance data including financial, sales and operational reports to measure progress against business objectives.

· Identify opportunities to improve margins, manage costs and support sustainable commercial growth.

· Ensure business decisions balance customer outcomes, operational requirements and commercial performance.

Sales, Customers & Business Development

· Lead the development and growth of Clover’s Tasmanian sales network.

· Develop and maintain strong relationships with Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 customers and key industry stakeholders.

· Build relationships across Water Authorities, Distributors, Civil Contractors, Commercial Developers, Commercial Plumbers and other relevant industry sectors.

· Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing key accounts and contracts.

· Apply a consultative, solutions-based selling approach to maximise sales and profitability.

· Develop a solid understanding of Clover’s products, services, technical capabilities and unique value proposition.

· Identify new business opportunities and support the development of long-term customer partnerships.

· Provide technical sales and engineering advice where appropriate.

· Represent Clover at industry trade shows, training sessions, networking events and other relevant industry activities.

People Leadership

· Lead, support and develop the Tasmanian team to achieve operational and commercial objectives.

· Build a positive, accountable and high-performing workplace culture.

· Set clear expectations and ensure employees understand their responsibilities, priorities and performance requirements.

· Coach and develop employees while identifying opportunities for further capability development.

· Support effective workforce planning, staffing and resource allocation.

· Promote strong communication and collaboration across departments and the wider Clover business.

· Contribute to a professional, respectful and harmonious working environment.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

· Maintain overall responsibility for workplace health and safety across the Tasmanian operation.

· Ensure Clover policies, procedures, governance requirements and relevant legislative obligations are consistently followed.

· Promote a proactive safety culture and ensure risks, incidents and corrective actions are appropriately managed.

· Maintain high standards of quality and ensure operational activities meet company and customer requirements.

· Ensure appropriate systems,



processes and controls are maintained to support compliance and business continuity.

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for an experienced and commercially minded leader who can take ownership of a diverse business operation while building strong teams, customer relationships and sustainable growth.

You’ll ideally bring:

· Demonstrated senior leadership or general management experience within an operational, industrial or commercially focused environment.

· Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience managing budgets, costs, profitability and business performance.

· Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams.

· Demonstrated ability to develop customer relationships and identify business growth opportunities.

· Experience within the water, civil construction, infrastructure, plumbing, manufacturing or wholesale distribution industries will be highly regarded.

· Strong operational management and continuous improvement capability.

· Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

· Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities.

· A practical, hands-on leadership style with the ability to operate strategically.

· Strong understanding of workplace health and safety, quality and compliance requirements.

· Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes and quality standards.
