We’re looking for a skilled MIG/TIG Welder to join our team manufacturing aluminum toolboxes. This hands-on role involves preparing, assembling and welding aluminum components to produce strong, neatly finished toolboxes to our specifications.
What you’ll be doing
- MIG and TIG welding aluminium toolboxes and components.
- Preparing, positioning and clamping aluminium sheets and parts for welding.
- Reading technical drawings and following measurements and work instructions.
- Checking weld quality, dimensions, alignment and finish.
- Maintaining welding equipment and keeping your work area clean and organised.
- Following safe work practices and working with the team to meet production deadlines.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding aluminium.
- Experience manufacturing aluminium toolboxes or similar sheet metal products is highly regarded.
- Ability to produce consistent, neat welds and manage heat to minimise distortion.
- Ability to read drawings and accurately assemble components.
- Attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
- A reliable, punctual approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant trade qualifications or demonstrated practical welding experience.
