- Salary - $112,331.06 - $129,180.70 plus 12 % Super.
- Permanent full time, hybrid working (3 office days per week)

About the role

As Senior Communications Officer, you'll be a trusted communications advisor responsible for delivering strategic and innovative communications across a broad portfolio of Council programs, projects and priorities.

In this role, you will:

- Develop and deliver integrated communications strategies and campaigns that drive awareness, understanding and community participation.
- Provide strategic communications advice to leaders across the organisation.
- Mentor and support Communications Officers, helping build capability and deliver best-practice communications outcomes.
- Lead high-profile communications projects from planning through to delivery and evaluation.




- Create compelling content across a range of channels, including media, digital, social, web, video, stakeholder communications and campaign materials.

A bit about you

We're seeking a communications professional who combines strategic thinking with exceptional execution.

You will bring:

- Tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least five years' experience in communications, public relations, corporate affairs or stakeholder engagement.
- Experience developing and delivering strategic communication plans and multi-channel campaigns.
- Outstanding writing, storytelling and content development skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.

While experience in local government is a plus, it is not mandatory for the role. We are actively welcoming people from state or federal government, an agency environment or large complex organisations who want to apply their skills to make a real-world, tangible impact on the community.
