Rasmussen State School is seeking a School Community Partnership Facilitator (Identified) to strengthen connections between the school, families and the wider community.

This role will use local knowledge and culturally responsive approaches to support student attendance, engagement, wellbeing and learning through strong, meaningful partnerships.

Rasmussen State School is a vibrant and inclusive primary school in the Upper Ross area of Townsville, catering for students from Early Childhood to Year 6.

Your prospect:

- The School Community Partnership Facilitator / Officer (SCPF) supports the Principal to strengthen relationships between the school, families, community organisations, government agencies and local services.
- The role is focused on improving student attendance, engagement, wellbeing and learning by helping the school respond to local needs through culturally safe, coordinated and place-based partnerships.
- The role is aligned to parent and community engagement principles including communication, partnerships with parents, community collaboration, school culture and meaningful decision-making.




- It also requires cultural capability in practice: knowing local histories and context, doing culturally appropriate actions, and being authentic, reflective and open in relationships.
- The SCPF provides coordination, advice, relationship-building and local insight. The Principal retains overarching responsibility for school-based decisions, approvals, governance, resource allocation, risk management and strategic direction.
- The SCPF's key areas of responsibility are building trusted relationships and cultural safety; connecting the school with services and agencies; strengthening family, student and community voice; supporting coordinated responses for students and families; and using local knowledge and evidence to inform planning.
