About us
DHA was established in 1988 following passage of the Defence Housing Australia Act 1987 (DHA Act) to provide adequate and suitable housing for, and housing related services to, members of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and their families. We remain committed to our purpose of providing housing, and housing related services, to ADF members and their families to support Defence’s operational needs.
DHA manages an expanding portfolio of housing solutions and provides housing for over 17,200 ADF members and their families and administers rent allowance for more than 16,000 ADF members and their families in private rental accommodation. DHA provides housing related services advising on eligibility, providing posting support, and managing bookings and allocation services for all DHA provisioned housing and on-base accommodation to approximately 60,000 ADF members.

About your team
The Finance and Corporate Support Branch is responsible for ensuring the financial sustainability of DHA, by supporting effective decision making, resource allocation and policy compliance for both internal and external stakeholders. Finance and Corporate Support is committed to providing the whole organisation with accurate and reliable financial information and prides itself with supporting the broader organisation with achieving strategic goals in line with these functions.
About the role
As the Treasury Senior Financial Analyst, you are a key member of the Finance team. Your primary responsibility will be to maximise the return on Defence Housing Australia’s (DHA) cash investments together with the day-to-day management of DHA’s short term and long-term cash flow forecasting.
In addition, you will also oversee a small team responsible for DHA’s cash receipts and payments. This includes ensuring payments to vendors and lessors are processed in accordance with DHA’s corporate policies and procedures.
To be effective in this role you will have strong organisational and communication skills and be able to develop strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. You will also have a detailed understanding of the investment markets within Australia and the investment provisions of the PGPA Act.
