About the role

The Place Activation Coordinator facilitates the growth, development and activation of town centres across the Central Coast. You will design and deliver a program of activations aligned with placemaking and economic development objectives, while managing project timelines, budgets, safety and compliance. The role also identifies grant opportunities, evaluates outcomes and maintains strong relationships that support thriving local places.

This position provides valuable services that strengthen the community by creating a sense of vibrancy, pride and belonging, improving quality of life and supporting positive economic outcomes.

Applicant Profile

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A degree in Business, Project Management, Tourism or Event Management, Community Development or a relevant field, and/or extensive contemporary experience in place activation supported by ongoing professional development.




- Demonstrated experience applying placemaking and place activation principles to achieve beneficial community outcomes.
- Experience designing, coordinating and delivering projects end to end, including managing project budgets, timelines, work health and safety requirements and compliance standards.
- A proven ability to build partnerships, lead, motivate, influence and communicate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to develop creative solutions and achieve agreed outcomes.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multitask, organise work and meet deadlines.
- A current Class C Driver Licence.

Offer Details

The commencing salary for this position is up to $96K. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $112K on completion of assessment of skills and/or performance plus 12% superannuation

- We have a permanent full time role available
- This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
- We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role - 2 days from home and 3 days onsite
- This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building
