Library and Visitor Experience Officer – Nundle (Part Time)

- Support the Nundle community through the Library and Customer Service Centre.

We are seeking an approachable, friendly and confident team member who is comfortable interacting with people from all walks of life - from young children to older adults and everyone in between. You will be a self-starter with strong literacy, numeracy and digital skills, you’re comfortable using technology and social media and you love sharing your interest in reading. You will bring empathy, creativity and a problem-solving mindset to everything you do and are passionate about making your community a better, more connected place.

The Library and Customer Service Officer is responsible for:

- Welcome customers and provide them with assistance to locate library material, basic reader’s advisory service, basic information service and basic help with use of technology
- Perform library circulation duties i.e. issuing, returning, shelving and displaying books
- Ensure that library collections are in order and that the library is tidy and welcoming
- Provide quality Council Customer Service to all members of the public.
- Engage in cultural development at a local level, and support the visitor economy.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED

- Certificate II in Information & Cultural Services or similar or relevant equivalent library experience
- Drivers Licence

Salary range: Grade 8 - $44.20 - $47.83 per hour plus superannuation for a 20 hour fortnight. Salary may be negotiated based on skills, experience and your value to our organisation.

Roster:

Mondays and Tuesdays - 10.30am to 2.30pm

Alternating Saturdays - 10:30am to 2:30pm

Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.
