Precept Services Pty. Ltd. has been delivering quality industrial electrical services across Australia for more than 25 years. We’re a growing electrical contracting business working across a diverse range of commercial and industrial environments.

We’re looking for a motivated Electrical Apprentice to join our Victorian team.

This is an opportunity to learn your trade from experienced electricians, gain hands-on experience across a wide range of electrical work and build the skills you need for a successful career as a qualified electrician.

What you’ll learn

As an apprentice with Precept Services, you’ll get exposure to a broad range of electrical work rather than being limited to one type of project.

Working alongside experienced electricians, you’ll develop practical skills in:

- Industrial electrical installation and construction

- Electrical service and maintenance

- Fault finding and problem solving

- Switchboard construction and modifications

- Preventative maintenance

- Breakdown response

- Testing and commissioning

- Process control systems

- Pumps, conveyors, augers and associated equipment

- Reading plans, drawings and electrical documentation

- Safe work practices, testing and compliance

- Working professionally with customers, trades and other team members

You’ll be supported as you learn, with the goal of developing into a confident, capable and qualified electrician.

You don’t need to know everything already — that’s what an apprenticeship is for.

- Keen to learn and develop current skills

- Reliable, punctual and willing to work hard

- Hands-on and enjoys practical work

- Interested in how things work and enjoys solving problems

- Safety-conscious

- Positive and willing to have a go

- Comfortable working as part of a team

- Able to communicate well with colleagues and customers

- Physically capable of safely performing the requirements of the role

- Committed to completing their apprenticeship and building a long-term career in the electrical industry

Previous electrical, construction, engineering or trade experience is helpful but not essential.
