We are looking for a motivated, hands-on Steel Warehouse Coordinator – Forklift Driver to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, takes pride in safe material handling, and is confident assisting both trade and retail customers.

About the Role
This is a varied and active role involving forklift operation, customer service, steel and aluminium handling, stock control, warehouse organisation, and occasional deliveries. You will play an important role in helping our warehouse and yard run safely, efficiently, and professionally each day.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Securely load and unload our own trucks, customer vehicles, supplier trucks, and subcontractor vehicles using a forklift

- Safely handle steel and aluminium products, including long lengths, sheets, and heavy materials

- Cut steel and aluminium materials using bandsaws and guillotine equipment

- Assist customers in finding the right products for their jobs and projects

- Pick, prepare, and check customer orders for collection and delivery





- Help maintain accurate stock levels and keep stock organised and up to date

- Carry out occasional deliveries when required

- Keep the warehouse, yard, and loading areas clean, tidy, and safe

- Work closely with the sales team and management to support smooth daily operations

Skills and Experience Required

- Current forklift licence

- Previous experience in a steel, aluminium, hardware, building supplies, or similar warehouse environment preferred

- Experience safely loading and unloading heavy and awkward materials

- Experience using bandsaws, guillotines, or similar cutting equipment preferred

- Good understanding of warehouse safety and safe loading procedures

- Strong customer service skills and a helpful attitude

- Good attention to detail and ability to work efficiently

- Current driver’s licence

- Physically fit and capable of manual handling

- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team

Desirable but Not Essential

- Experience in the steel or aluminium industry

- Delivery driving experience

- HR truck licence

- Basic stock control or warehouse system experience

- Experience dealing directly with trade customers
