OPERATIONS CREW

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

An energetic-hardworking-physically fit-motivated individual to join us as we travel across Australia bringing the 5K Foam Fest to thousands of people! If you love working outside, in a team environment, and having FUN while bringing events to life, come join our amazing Operations Team.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Contributing to all aspects of this fun and unique event, your hard work and dedication will allow tens of thousands of participants the opportunity to participate in the funnest and foamiest race on the planet!

JOB OUTLINE

You will be a key part of a 12 person crew. Setting up and readying the course prior to each event, collaboratively managing event day activities, and then tearing down and packing up to ready the trucks for transport to the next city.

5K Foam Fest offers 20+ obstacles to its participants so there is a lot of equipment involved in putting this event together. We take pride in offering an outstanding experience and expect that all of our employees would be passionate and detail oriented, driven, dedicated, and determined to ensure every event is fun, safe, and successful! Also, we expect all employees to handle all of our property and resources with the utmost care and competency.

Over the course of a weekly schedule you would be involved in the following activities:

- Execute the setup and/or tear-down of course equipment within an assigned workflow, and following instructions of your team lead, and crew supervisor. Course equipment consists of inflatables, wooden structures, scaffolding, tents, etc.
- Keep equipment organized and properly maintained.
- Maintain a safety awareness of yourself, your colleagues, and your surroundings.
- Safely and skillfully operating UTV's and Work/Rental Vehicles.
- Interacting with all participants, venue staff,



vendors, and spectators in a professional and pleasant manner.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up and position large inflatable obstacles
- Set up and position wooden obstacles
- Set up and position large climbing structures
- Operate gas-powered generators and industrial blowers
- Assist with water-based obstacle systems
- Ensure all course and festival elements are event-ready
- Support event-day operations

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB

Previous work experience in a similar industry would be ideal, including experience in customer service-oriented businesses and event-related industries.

- Physically dexterous – able to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods of time and move through all sorts of terrain
- Proven ability to understand and effectively execute instructions
- Able to stay focused while performing routine, manual tasks including cleaning, and maintenance tasks
- Ability to work in a team environment to gain consensus, share opinions, work through conflict and share a team vision/goal
- Possess a valid driver’s license





WORKING CONDITIONS
We work rain or shine (or wind, or heat) .... the show must go on. This includes hot and humid, cold, wet environments and various terrain.

We do random and targeted drug testing. If you would not pass a drug test, do not apply.

PHYSICAL DEMAND

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

- Must be able to work in an outdoor setting.
- Long periods of standing and walking.
- Physical stamina, repetitive motion, and heavy lifting is a major requirement of these roles.
- Extensive travel (air and road) to various events is required.

SCHEDULE/AVAILABILITY:

Start date: November 23, 2026

End date: February 12, 2027

Schedule of Cities: Melbourne VIC (Scoresby) / Sydney NSW / Wodonga VIC / Perth WA / Melbourne VIC (Myrniong) / Glenworth Valley NSW / Brisbane QLD

Typical work week is Wednesday - Sunday / Monday Off (Travel) / Tuesday Off.

Christmas Break: December 14 - January 4 Week Off: January 11-18

Rate: $325/setup & teardown days $425 event days. All accommodations and travel is covered by the company. You are responsible for all your meals, toiletries, work gear, etc.

Job Types: Subcontract, Contract
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $325.00 per day
