Greater Northern Community Services provides supports for adolescents and adults living with disabilities to reach their full potential. We work closely with our clients supporting them with daily self-care activities, attending appointments, community access with the focus on encouraging and promoting active, healthy and positive lifestyle choices.

The Role

We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team, with a particular focus on candidates located in or around Mooroolbark, Victoria. This role would suit someone with experience supporting young people with ASD and/or ADHD, experience managing behaviours of concern, or a background working within the youth justice system. We are looking for someone who is: Confident and capable in supporting young people with complex needs Person-centred and committed to supporting individual goals and choices Energetic, positive and able to engage young people in meaningful activities Calm and confident when responding to behaviours of concern Reliable,

Eligibility Criteria

Relevant work experience in Disability
Relevant qualification in Disability, Aged Care or Individual Support
Willingness to accept short shifts
Working with Children’s Check
NDIS worker screening check
Current First Aid (HLTAID003 or HLTAID004) and CPR (HLTAID001) certificate
National Police Check
Full Australian Driver licence
The right to work in Australia

Pay: $37.50 – $67.50 per hour
