About the role

This is more than a delivery role. It's an chance to establish and shape how analytics solutions are delivered across the City of Melbourne. As our new Analytics Delivery Lead, you will lead a small team while partnering across the organisation to deliver impactful data and analytics solutions, enhance capability, and drive innovation and continuous improvement. A little more about the role

- Champion agile delivery practices and provide clear reporting and insights to stakeholders.
- Coordinate multiple analytics, reporting and data science initiatives, managing priorities, timelines and dependencies.
- Develop and embed consistent delivery frameworks that support the successful implementation of data solutions.
- Foster a culture of learning, experimentation and continuous improvement across the team.
- Partner with Analytics Leads and stakeholders to prioritise initiatives and maximise value through data-driven outcomes.
- Collaborate with data engineering, governance and platform teams to enable seamless delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Lead and support a small team, creating an inclusive environment that encourages growth, collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to team planning, connection forums and capability development across the CIA function.

About you

What your experience might look like

- Relevant qualifications and/or equivalent experience in areas such as business analytics, data, technology, mathematics or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience delivering analytics or data initiatives within complex organisational environments.
- Experience applying agile delivery methodologies and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and contribute to effective solutions.
- Proven ability to build collaborative relationships and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear and accessible insights.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and support the successful delivery of multiple initiatives.
- A collaborative and continuous improvement mindset, with a commitment to learning, innovation and delivering positive outcomes.
