Adelaide Physicians & Surgeons is seeking an experienced, proactive, and adaptable Casual Medical Receptionist to join our team. Because you will be supporting multiple locations, reliable transport and a willingness to travel are essential.

The RoleAs the face of our practice, you will do much more than answer phones. You will manage the daily flow of busy specialist consulting rooms, ensuring an exceptional experience for patients, specialists, and referring doctors alike.Your day-to-day will include:

- Greeting patients with a warm, professional, and empathetic demeanor.
- Managing complex specialist appointment schedules and clinic flows.
- Efficiently handling high-volume telephone enquiries and triage.
- Managing patient registrations, digital medical records, and incoming correspondence.
- Processing complex billing, including Medicare, DVA, Eclipse, and private health funds.
- Collaborating with hospitals, booking surgeries,



and liaising with allied health networks.

What We Are Looking For (Selection Criteria)To be successful in this role, you must be a self-starter who can hit the ground running. We are looking for:

- Proven Experience: Solid background in medical reception or healthcare administration (specialist practice experience is highly regarded).
- Software Savvy: Experience with Genie software is a major advantage.
- Billing Competency: Comfort managing Medicare, DVA, and private billing processes.
- Adaptability & Mobility: A valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and the flexibility to work across our Elizabeth Vale, Campbelltown, and Henley Beach locations.
- Top-Tier Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Sharp Attention to Detail: High accuracy in data entry, medical typing, and record management.
- Right to Work: Current Australian work rights (Citizen, PR, or valid work visa). Please note: We are only reviewing applications from candidates currently residing in Adelaide.
