NDIS Support Coordinator

Company: B Able Support Coordination

Position: NDIS Support Coordinator

Employment Type: Full-Time / Part time (Flexible Working Available)

Location: Community-based / Office Hybrid

About Us

At B Able Support Coordination, we believe in choice, control, and empowering individuals. We work closely with people experiencing permanent and significant disabilities to help them navigate their NDIS plans, overcome barriers, and achieve their personal goals. We are looking for a passionate, driven, and knowledgeable Support Coordinator to join our growing team and make a genuine difference in our communities.

About the Role

The NDIS Support Coordinator is an administrative and strategic logistical role funded by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Your primary focus is to help participants understand, implement, and maximise the funding in their NDIS plans.

As a Coordinator, you will be the bridge between our participants and the life they want to live. You will establish positive, collaborative relationships with participants and their support networks, helping them identify and link with local community and mainstream services. You will solve routine to complex problems to mitigate risks and barriers, while building participant capacity to foster autonomy and ensure positive plan implementation aligned with NDIS safeguards.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan Implementation & Capacity Building: Support individuals to coordinate their NDIS plans, build their capacity, track progress toward individual goals, and negotiate services aligned with their aspirations.
- Connecting & Network Building: Identify and link participants with local community, mainstream,

and NDIS-funded service providers (e.g allied health, support workers, domestic services, housing).
- Budget & Agreement Management: Set up service agreements and monitor funding utilisation so plan funds are managed effectively and do not run out early.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Proactively resolve issues when a service provider arrangement is not meeting the participant's needs.
- Administration & Compliance: Complete support coordination tasks within agreed utilization schedules, maintain accurate case notes, and write comprehensive evidence-based reports for NDIA plan reviews and the NDIS Safeguarding Commission.
- Person-Centred Practice: Apply person-centred principles, actively participate in ongoing training, and adapt communication styles to meet each participant's unique needs.

What We Are Looking For

- NDIS Expertise: Strong understanding of the NDIS framework, price guide, and the distinct boundaries and expectations of a Support Coordinator.
- The Right Attitude: A positive, collaborative, and empathetic approach backed by exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
- Organisational Skills: Proven ability to manage a busy caseload, maintain accurate documentation, and navigate the NDIA portal efficiently.
- Resilience & Problem-Solving: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced,

complex environment and deliver impactful support to Australians living with disability.
- Qualifications: Certificate IV or Diploma in Community Services, Disability, Mental Health, or equivalent industry experience.

Mandatory Requirements

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- National Police / Criminal History Record Check
- Valid Driver’s License with a reliable, registered vehicle (obtained prior to employment)

What We Offer

- Competitive Remuneration: Attractive base salary package reflective of experience and qualifications.
- Supportive Team Culture: A warm, inclusive, and collaborative environment with approachable leadership and supportive peers.
- Professional Growth: Paid ongoing professional development, person-centred training, and clear pathways for career progression.
- Community Impact: Active involvement in promoting disability inclusion and making a tangible, positive difference in local communities.
- Tools for Success: Provision of necessary technology (laptop/phone allowance) and mileage reimbursement for travel.
