Styles Street Community Child Care Centre is a not-for-profit, community-based child safe organisation established in 1973, with a rich and long history of supporting families in our local community. We are a 60-place early childhood education and care centre, catering for children aged 2 years to school age. About The Role

We are seeking a full-time Early Childhood Diploma Educator to join our team of dedicated professionals. This role will begin as a floating position across three rooms, with the opportunity to transition into a designated room in future years. It's an exciting opportunity for a kind, caring educator who is genuinely passionate about children's learning, development, and wellbeing. You will contribute to our emergent curriculum, which is continually evolving and reflects the Early Years Learning Framework. We're looking for a team player, a child advocate, and a professional who makes decisions with the best interests of the children in their care at heart.

About You

The educator we are looking for will meet the following selection criteria:

Essential Selection Criteria

- ACECQA Approved Certificate III or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent.
- An understanding of contemporary child safe practices
- A current and valid WWCC
- Current Early Childhood First Aid qualifications
- Completed Geccko Child Safety Training
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)




- Understanding of current pedagogical thinking and research
- Experience in providing a play-based curriculum
- Understanding of the importance of relationships and social and emotional skills for children’s learning and wellbeing

Desirable Selection Criteria

- Experience working in a similar role

Styles Street Children's Community Long Day Care Centre promotes the safety, wellbeing, and inclusion of all children. All applicants will be required to provide a minimum of two professional referees and will be subject to WWCC screening.

Pay: $37.12 – $44.94 per hour

Expected hours: 38.0 per week
