Deli Team Member / Deli Assistant – IGA Mandurah

IGA Mandurah is looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Deli Team Member to join our team.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with customers, takes pride in food presentation and hygiene, and can work efficiently in a busy supermarket deli environment.

About the Role

As a Deli Team Member, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while preparing and presenting a range of fresh deli and hot food products.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Serving customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Preparing and serving deli products, ready meals and hot food
- Slicing, weighing and packaging deli products
- Preparing salads, sandwiches and other food items as required
- Maintaining excellent food presentation and product quality
- Keeping the deli area, equipment and displays clean and hygienic
- Following food safety and workplace health & safety procedures
- Monitoring product freshness, dates and stock levels
- Restocking and maintaining attractive displays
- Assisting with ordering, receiving and storing stock when required
- Handling customer enquiries and providing helpful product advice
- Working as part of a team to ensure the deli department operates smoothly

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

- Previous deli, supermarket,



hospitality or food preparation experience (preferred but not essential)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good communication skills
- A positive and friendly attitude
- Solid attention to cleanliness and food hygiene
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good reliability and punctuality
- Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends and public holidays as required

Food Safety Certificate/experience in food handling will be highly regarded.
