Food Production Kitchen Hands – Casual | Full-Time Hours

Kids Gourmet Food (KGF) is a high-volume catering business and a leading national provider of freshly prepared meals to the childcare industry across Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne.

Based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, we are looking for reliable, physically fit and detail-oriented Food Production Workers to join our busy production team.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced food manufacturing role suited to someone who enjoys practical work and takes pride in producing safe, high-quality food. As our meals are prepared for young children, accuracy, food safety and allergen management are extremely key.

About the Role

You will be responsible for a range of food production activities, including:

- Mixing and batching ingredients according to recipes and production specifications.
- Picking, weighing, counting, portioning and labelling products accurately.
- Reading and checking recipes, product labels, batch sheets and allergen information.
- Packing and hand-filling products while maintaining quality standards.
- Operating food production machinery safely and efficiently.
- Working on high-volume production lines and meeting daily production targets.
- Repetitive manual handling and lifting of up to 25kg.
- Cleaning equipment and work areas in accordance with HACCP and food safety requirements.
- Following strict allergen management procedures to prevent cross-contamination.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised production environment.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Full, unrestricted Australian working rights.
- Availability to work 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Availability for the fixed shift of 8:00am – 4:00pm.




- Good physical fitness and the ability to repeatedly lift up to 25kg.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to consistently follow procedures.
- Good counting and basic numeracy skills.
- Ability to confidently read and understand recipes, labels, batch sheets and production instructions.
- A good understanding of food allergies, allergen management and cross-contamination prevention.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and HACCP principles.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
- Good English communication skills.
- A reliable, punctual and positive attitude.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
