About the role

Replenish Landscaping Pty Ltd is a small, qualified landscape construction and gardening business that takes pride in producing high-quality work and improving our clients’ quality of life through beautiful, functional outdoor spaces.

We are looking for an experienced Lead Hand to join our team on a full-time basis, working five days per week. You will lead projects on-site while working alongside a close-knit team of three qualified employees, with occasional support from casual workers.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work and is confident leading projects from start to finish.

What you’ll be working on

No two weeks are the same. Our projects are almost entirely completed in-house and may include:

- Set out
- Excavation
- Timber construction, including decks and pergolas
- Paving
- Irrigation
- Planting
- Retaining walls
- Wet- and dry-stack stonework
- Fencing
- Turf installation
- Welding
- Garden renovations
- Machinery operation
- Design and project planning

You will be responsible for leading projects and making practical decisions on-site, with the opportunity to work across both construction and horticulture.

Usual hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with some flexibility to start earlier or finish later.

Key responsibilities

- Lead small to large landscape construction projects from start to finish
- Complete high-quality construction and horticultural work
- Lead and support a small team on-site
- Work independently and progress projects without constant supervision
- Record project hours accurately
- Collect and order materials




- Monitor project budgets and keep work on budget
- Operate, clean and maintain tools, equipment and machinery
- Communicate clearly with the team, clients and management
- Identify and solve problems on-site

About you

You will ideally have:

- A Certificate III in Landscape Construction, Certificate III in Horticulture or an equivalent trade qualification; or
- At least six years’ relevant industry experience, with strong landscape construction skills
- Experience in landscape construction if your qualification is primarily in horticulture
- Previous experience leading a team or taking responsibility for projects
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- A positive, reliable and honest attitude
- A genuine interest in both construction and horticulture
- A willingness to learn and develop your skills
- General physical fitness suitable for active outdoor work
- Experience towing trailers
- Experience operating landscaping and construction machinery

You must have, or be willing to obtain:

- A current Australian driver’s licence
- A White Card
- Asbestos awareness training
- Silica awareness training
- An ACT Working with Vulnerable People registration and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check, as applicable to the role
