Lavin Care is seeking an experienced, reliable and physically fit female Support Worker to provide ongoing one-on-one support to a male client living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) who uses a wheelchair.

This is a regular ongoing role for 3 days per week, with approximately 10-hour shifts each day.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with personal care, including showering, dressing and grooming
- Support the client with mobility and day-to-day activities
- Provide domestic assistance, including cleaning, laundry and general household tasks
- Provide social support and companionship
- Assist with community access, outings and appointments as required
- Support the client to maintain independence and participate in daily activities
- Follow the client’s care plan and support requirements
- Maintain professional boundaries, dignity and confidentiality

Requirements

We are looking for someone who is:

- Female Support Worker
- Experienced in disability, aged care or complex support




- Comfortable providing personal care and showering assistance to a male client
- Physically fit and capable of safely assisting a wheelchair user
- Reliable and able to commit to 3 regular days per week
- Caring, patient and respectful
- Confident working independently on longer shifts
- Experienced supporting clients with MS, limited mobility or wheelchair use is highly regarded
- Holds a valid driver’s licence and has access to a reliable vehicle
- Holds relevant checks and qualifications required for the role

About the Role:
This role would suit an experienced Support Worker looking for consistent weekly hours with one client. Building a comfortable, respectful and reliable working relationship with the client is very key.

Approximately 30 hours of ongoing work available each week, with a casual rate of $35–$38 per hour depending on experience.

Pay: From $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 38.0 per week
