Key responsibilities

Running the shift

- Able to open or close the café.
- Run pre-shift briefings and assign stations and breaks.
- Keep service moving during peak times.
- Check food quality, presentation and speed of service.
- Keep the café clean, tidy and set up to brand standards.

Team leadership

- Guide and support staff during the shift.
- Train recent team members and give on-the-spot coaching.
- Make sure breaks, uniforms and hygiene standards are followed.
- Report staffing issues, lateness or performance concerns to the Café Manager.

Customers

- Greet customers and handle questions or complaints calmly and professionally.
- Resolve problems on the spot where you can, and escalate when needed.
- Make sure orders go out correctly and on time.

Skills and experience

- 1+ years in hospitality, ideally with some supervisory experience.
- Strong wait staff skills.
- Confident leading a team on shift.
- Good communicator who stays calm under pressure.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Availability for weekends and public holidays.

Pay: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 30.0 per week
