Parliamentary Services is seeking a professional, organised and community-minded Assistant Electorate Officer to join Mrs Janelle Poole APM MP, Member for Mundingburra. This role supports the Member and Electorate Officer in delivering high-quality services to constituents, engaging with local organisations, and assisting with the daily operations of a busy electorate office.

This is a temporary opportunity until the 26th March 2027, with the possibility of extension.

Key Objectives

Provide high-quality administrative and support services to the Electorate Office.
Assist constituents and community groups by responding to enquiries and helping resolve concerns.
Support the smooth day-to-day operations of the Member's office.

Your Role

Assist with diary management, coordinating appointments, meetings and community events.
Provide administrative support including correspondence, research, data entry and record keeping.
Help prepare briefing materials, community information and maintain office systems.
Monitor local issues through community engagement, media and stakeholder networks.
Assist with travel arrangements and liaise with Parliamentary Travel services.




Respond to enquiries via phone, email and in person, providing information and support.
Maintain strong relationships with community organisations, government agencies and stakeholders.
Support community engagement activities such as events and constituent correspondence.
Provide general office support including filing, records management, supplies coordination and documentation.

Strong literacy and computer skills, with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
