About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Casual Disability Support Worker(Male) to provide person-centred care for a Punjabi-speaking male participant in Park Ridge. This role involves personal care and daily living support, with a strong emphasis on cultural sensitivity and respectful communication.

- Location: Park Ridge, QLD
- Employment Type: Casual
- Client Needs: Personal care, daily living assistance, companionship
- Language Requirement: Fluent in Punjabi (spoken)
- Gender Preference: Male candidates preferred (as per participant request)
- Start Date: Immediate availability desirable
- Shift Times:
- Morning: 6:00am – 2:00pm
- Afternoon: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
- Night: 10:00pm – 6:00am
- Flexibility: Willingness to cover night shifts when required is essential

Key Responsibilities





- Provide respectful and safe personal care
- Support with mobility, hygiene, and daily routines
- Communicate effectively with the participant in Punjabi
- Foster independence and wellbeing
- Maintain accurate documentation and incident reporting
- Uphold NDIS Practice Standards and TrueSupport values

What We’re Looking For

- Previous experience in disability support or aged care (preferred)
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or equivalent (desirable)
- Current First Aid & CPR certification
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check
- COVID-19 vaccination certificate
- Reliable transport and valid driver’s licence
- Strong communication skills and cultural awareness
- Empathy, professionalism, and a commitment to participant dignity
- Availability across all shifts, including nights when required.
- Reliable vehicle with insurance
