1st Year Apprentice Civil Construction | Full time | Western Sydney | Starting early 2027
Ever looked at an excavator and thought, “I want to drive that”? If you love being outdoors and want to earn while you learn a trade, this apprenticeship is for you.
JK Williams Group is a well-established and highly regarded Tier 2 civil construction company based in Western Sydney. We’re looking for a motivated Apprentice Civil Construction Worker to join our team full-time from early 2027.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll work alongside experienced operators on large civil construction sites around mobile plant and machinery. Day to day you’ll be:
Digging trenches
Laying ag line and culverts
Learning to operate mobile plant
You’ll get to work across a range of projects, including residential subdivisions, civil infrastructure and road construction – so no two weeks look the same.
Who we’re looking for
A genuine interest in civil construction and working around machines
A can-do attitude and the drive to learn and improve
Good at following directions and communicating clearly
A team player who works well in a small crew
Committed to safety (WHS) on site
Happy to take on all tasks set by your Site Supervisor
Willing to work a reasonable amount of overtime
Keen to attend classes and complete your study
Committed to finishing a three-year apprenticeship
Able to read and interpret basic plans (don’t worry – we’ll train you)
Skills and Experiences:

WHS Industry Induction Card (White Card)
Australian permanent residency or valid work rights
