The Role

We're looking for a hands-on, reliable Maintenance Coordinator / Handyperson to look after our venues. No two days are the same: one day you might be fixing doors, patching walls and replacing fittings, the next you could be organising an electrician, plumber or refrigeration tech, then checking their work.

You'll work closely with our Operations team and venue managers, sort and prioritise jobs, and make sure issues are fixed quickly and safely with as little disruption to trade as possible.

What You'll Be Doing

- Perform general handyman and maintenance duties across multiple venues.

- Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance so venues stay at a high standard.

- Handle minor repairs, including broken fixtures, holes in walls, doors, locks, furniture and small plumbing jobs in bar and restroom areas.

- Work through maintenance requests from venue managers and prioritise jobs.

- Do regular venue walk-throughs to identify hazards, wear and tear, and repairs needed.

- Identify when a job is outside your scope, then organise, book and coordinate licensed trades (electrical, plumbing, gas, refrigeration and so on).

- Assist with get quotes for approval, meet contractors on site and check work is finished to standard.

- Follow WHS practices at all times,



including risk assessments, safe manual handling and correct use of tools and equipment.

- Keep simple records of completed jobs, contractor visits and outstanding items.

- Help with venue set-ups, equipment moves and one-off projects.

- Respond to urgent maintenance issues, including occasional weekend call-outs.

About You

- Previous experience in a similar maintenance or handyperson role (hospitality, commercial, property or facilities experience is a bonus)

- A trade qualification is not required, but you'll need broad practical skills across a range of tasks

- A solid understanding of WHS practices and a safety-first attitude

- Good judgement about what you can safely do yourself and when to call in a licensed tradesperson

- Organised, able to juggle jobs across several sites and keep things moving

- A clear communicator who works well with managers, staff and contractors

- Current driver's licence and your own reliable vehicle

- Construction White Card (or willing to obtain one) is highly regarded
