About the Role

Hicrete is seeking an experienced and reliable Carpenter to join our growing team in Adelaide.

This is a full-time position suited to a skilled tradesperson with strong practical carpentry experience who can work independently as well as part of a team. The successful candidate will be involved in a range of construction projects and will be expected to deliver work to a high standard while following workplace health and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform general carpentry work across residential and/or commercial construction projects.
- Read and interpret plans, drawings, specifications and measurements.
- Measure, cut, shape and assemble timber and other construction materials.
- Construct, install and repair frameworks, walls, floors, roofing structures, doors and other building components.
- Install fixtures, fittings, doors, windows, skirting boards and other carpentry components.
- Carry out formwork and structural carpentry where required.
- Use hand tools, power tools and carpentry equipment safely and effectively.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with project specifications.
- Work closely with supervisors, tradespeople and other team members to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and safe worksite.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and company policies.

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will have:





- Relevant carpentry qualification or equivalent trade experience.
- Previous practical experience working as a Carpenter.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, tools and construction methods.
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and technical drawings.
- Strong measuring, cutting, installation and finishing skills.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valuable communication and time-management skills.
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Ability to perform physically demanding construction work.
- Valid Australian driver's licence is desirable.
- Construction White Card is desirable or required depending on the worksite.
