An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Melbourne Ground Engineering team. The role involves leading and delivering geotechnical investigations, analyses, designs and advisory services across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure, transport, aviation, water, energy and buildings projects.

Working within multidisciplinary project teams, you will provide technical expertise from project inception through to construction, while supporting the development of junior engineers and contributing to the growth of Arup's Ground Engineering capability.

The Opportunity

- Lead and coordinate site investigations, geotechnical interpretation, ground model development, and geotechnical analysis and design using the latest industry tools.
- Manage and mentor junior engineers, ensuring high-quality deliverables are completed on time and within budget, while supporting resource planning and forecasting.
- Contribute to project financial performance through budget management, commercial awareness, and engagement with clients and suppliers.
- Provide technical leadership, supervision, training, and professional development support to junior members of the geotechnical team.
- Represent Arup at internal and external meetings, building client relationships, understanding project needs, and delivering solutions aligned with Arup's Quality Management System.

- Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications




- Membership of relevant professional institutions/skilled peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership;
- Proven working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines
- Working towards or achieved CPEng and Victorian Engineer Registration.
- Current driving licence
