Job Description
Your opportunity
Looking for a role where no two days are the same? As a Plumber at Quilpie Shire Council, you'll work on a variety of projects and be part of helping to deliver essential services that keep our communities healthy, connected and thriving. Reporting to the Water and Sewerage Supervisor, you'll undertake a diverse range of maintenance, repairs and installation work across the Shire's water and sewerage networks, ensuring reliable infrastructure for the people who call Quilpie home.
With integrity and pride, you will:
Undertake plumbing and drainage works associated with construction, maintenance and operations of counci

Organise and coordinate assigned tasks and resource allocations Undertake testing and inspections Maintain,
repair and install plumbing infrastructure Respond to plumbing emergencies, breakdowns and service requests across the shire.
What you'll bring
You are a reliable and skilled tradesperson who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship and maintaining safe work practices. You are a hands-on and motivated Plumber who enjoys tackling a variety of work, from routine maintenance to resolving complex issues. Whether working independently or alongside the crew, you're motivated to contribute to positive outcomes for our Council and community while living our values of Respect, Communication, Fun and Humour, Pride, Trust and Teamwork.
To thrive in this role, you will have:
Plumber Trade Qualification
Current General Construction Induction Card Demonstrated experience in plumbing maintenance, repairs and installation Strong communication and teamwork skill

Although it’s not essential, it would be great if you had:
Experience in local government, utilities, civil construction of similar environments
'HR' Drivers Licence or willing to obtain Sound knowledge of WH&S; practices and plumbing legislation and standards
