India Bar & Restaurant is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Waitperson to join its team in Townsville City.
Duties
The Waitperson will be responsible for:
- Preparing, setting and arranging tables for service.
- Welcoming customers and providing menus and beverage lists.
- Taking customer orders accurately and communicating them to kitchen and bar staff.
- Serving meals and beverages to customers.
- Opening bottles and pouring beverages as required.
- Clearing tables and returning used dishes and cutlery to the kitchen.
- Removing empty bottles and used glasses from tables and replacing or refilling glasses where required.
- Processing customer payments and operating point-of-sale systems and cash registers.
- Recommending wines to complement meals where appropriate.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should have:
- AQF Certificate II or III (ANZSCO Skill Level 4).
- 1–3 years of relevant experience as a Waitperson or in a similar hospitality role.
