ROLE

To provide high quality hair services which includes but not limited to cut, style, colour, straighten and permanently wave hair, and treat hair and scalp conditions in all aspects of Men’s Grooming and provide a excellent overall experience for the clients whilst maintaining high standards in hygiene at all times.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

- Consult with clients to assess their hair care needs and recommend haircuts and styles suited to their face shape, hair type and preferences.
- Cut, trim and shape men’s and children’s hair using scissors, clippers, trimmers and razors.
- Perform standard haircuts, clipper cuts, zero fades, skin fades and long hair restyling.
- Trim and define hairlines and edges to achieve a neat and precise finish.
- Trim and shape beards, moustaches and goatees according to clients’ preferences.
- Perform face and head shaves using appropriate skin preparation, hot towel application and cut-throat razor techniques.
- Shampoo, rinse, condition and dry clients’ hair using suitable products and techniques.
- Apply hair colouring and colour-blending products according to clients’ requirements and manufacturers’ instructions.




- Style clients’ hair using appropriate grooming products, tools and finishing techniques.
- Advise clients on suitable hair care, grooming and styling products and maintaining their hair and beard between visits.
- Maintain clean and tidy workstations and clean and sanitise tools and equipment in accordance with hygiene and infection control requirements.
- Keep up to date with current barbering trends and techniques and apply them to meet clients’ requests.
- Collect payments for services and products and maintain accurate transaction records.

REQUIREMENTS

Our ideal candidate is an experienced Barber with a mandatory one years’ fulltime work experience with Certificate III with at least two years on the job training or Certificate IV level qualification in the relevant field. In the absence of qualifications, 3 years full-time relevant work experience is required.
