Maintenance and Property Officer
Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation is seeking a motivated and reliable Maintenance & Property Officer to join our Assets and Property Team in Tennant Creek. This hands-on role is responsible for maintaining our residential and business properties to a high standard, ensuring our facilities remain protected, presentable, and operational for staff, clients, and the wider community.
Working under the guidance of the Assets and Property Manager, you will undertake grounds maintenance, property repairs, asset movements, contractor support, and general maintenance activities across our facilities and remote properties.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining lawns, gardens, irrigation systems, trees, and grounds across all Anyinginyi Health properties.
- Performing general maintenance and handyman duties.
- Assisting with property upkeep, repairs, and building maintenance.
- Moving and delivering furniture, equipment, and organisational assets.
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and maintenance vehicles.
- Supporting contractor access and property improvement projects.
- Coordinating hazardous waste disposal when required.
- Travelling to remote properties to undertake maintenance activities.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements.
Qualifications:
- Experience in gardening, grounds maintenance, or property maintenance.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, small engines, plants, and landscaping requirements.
- The ability to identify and respond to ongoing maintenance needs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a diverse team environment.
- A reliable work ethic and the ability to work independently.
- Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety practices.
- A current NT Driver's Licence.
- The ability to obtain an NT Working with Children (Ochre) Card and National Police Check.
Desirable:
- 4WD experience or training.
- NT White Card.
