Details: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to provide policy leadership and advice on palliative and end-of-life care in the ACT. Working within the Ageing and End-of-Life Policy team, the position supports the development of policies, programs and strategic initiatives that strengthen palliative care and improve outcomes for people with life-limiting illness and their families.
The role leads policy development, research and analysis, and contributes to the design and implementation of initiatives that support equitable, high-quality palliative care. It also involves preparing high-quality briefings, correspondence, reports and other written advice to support informed decision-making.
Success in this role requires strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across ACT Government directorates, health services, community organisations and other jurisdictions. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to meaningful health policy reform and improve palliative and end-of-life care outcomes for the ACT community through evidence-based policy development and partnership.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in health policy, program delivery or service planning, preferably in palliative care, ageing, end-of-life care, or a related health sector.
- Prior to commencement, the successful candidate may be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.
Note: This is a temporary position available immediately for up to 12 months with the possibility of permanency.
A merit pool or merit list will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
