Full-time Fixed-term position

We're seeking a passionate and relationship-focused Placement Support worker to join our Rockhampton team. In this rewarding role, you'll be at the heart of supporting foster care placements, helping carers feel confident and well-equipped while ensuring children receive the care, advocacy and support they need to reach their full potential.

What will a typical day look like?

- Engage with carers to support children in all aspects of life, at home and in the wider community.
- Use observational and evaluation skills to contribute to the assessment of children and carers needs.
- Work collaboratively with Child Safety Services, community agencies and elders to establish and maintain sound working relationships.
- Provide on call services through a scheduled roster.
- Identify carer training and developmental needs to ensure the needs of the children are met.

Mandatory Requirements:

- Certificate IV level or higher in Community Services (Child Protection) with significant experience in a similar field.

- A strong communicator, able to quickly build rapport and influence across a diverse range of people.

Other Requirements:





- Ability to obtain a Blue Card (working with children check positive notice or exemption)
- Ability to obtain a Yellow Card (disability services positive notice or exemption notice)
