Experienced Kitchen Hand & Gelato AssistantAbout the Role:
We are looking for a reliable, effective, and experienced Kitchen Hand & Gelato Assistant to join our team. This role splits time between production support and general kitchen maintenance. If you have a passion for desserts and a strong work ethic, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Gelato Production: Assist with pasteurising tasks and churning gelato.
- Baking & Prep: Bake and prepare basic gelato additions and mix-ins from scratch (e.g., brownies, biscuits, crumbles etc).
- Kitchen Hand Tasks: Dishwashing, sanitise workstations, organise inventory, clean equipment, and wash down the laboratory.
What We Are Looking For:
- Proven experience in a commercial kitchen or bakery environment.
- Basic baking skills and comfort following recipes accurately.
- Previous gelato experience is advantageous.
- Strong physical stamina to handle heavy lifting (e.g., lifting ingredients, gelato tubs and transferring stock ).
- Excellent understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
- Willing to work 20 - 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday only.
