The Allied Health/Health Practitioner cadet performs a range of clinical support activities and on the job skills development while engaged in formal full time tertiary studies necessary to acquire an entry level (mandatory) qualification for employment as a Health Practitioner in Queensland.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with Queensland Health's values:
Successfully complete all academic requirements and 456 hours (60 days)
of paid placement within 12 months.
Perform delegated clinical assessment, treatment, and care planning activities under allied health/health practitioner supervision.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, including maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, referrals, quality improvement projects, and ongoing training and development.
Adhere to organisational policies, quality standards, and workplace health and safety requirements to deliver safe, high-quality care.
