Working closely with the Director, you will play a key role in completing a wide variety of workshop and onsite fabrication and repair work.
The role is suited to someone who can be handed a job, assess what needs to be done, determine the best way to complete it and carry the work through from start to finish with minimal supervision.
Our work is varied and includes agricultural machinery repairs and modifications, grain-handling equipment, augers, chaser bins, stainless wear packages, aluminium and stainless fabrication, custom fabrication and onsite breakdown work.
This is a hands-on role and requires someone with strong practical fabrication skills, sound judgement and the ability to solve problems as they arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out agricultural fabrication, modifications and repairs
- Repairing damaged and worn agricultural machinery and equipment
- Completing jobs independently from initial assessment through to completion
- MIG welding mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium
- Measuring, cutting, fitting, setting out and assembling components
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Fabricating from measurements, drawings and existing components
- Diagnosing repair requirements and developing practical solutions
- Completing stainless steel wear and rebuild work
- Carrying out onsite repairs and breakdown work when required
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and efficiency
- Taking ownership of jobs and ensuring work is completed correctly and efficiently
- Working closely with the Director and other workshop staff
Trade qualifications are preferred, however extensive proven experience and capability will also be considered.
Forklift, dogging, rigging,
EWP or other relevant licences will be highly regarded but are not essential.

Pay: $38.00 – $51.83 per hour
