About the Role:
Eastern Guruma is seeking five reliable and safety-conscious Escort Drivers to support the transport of oversized loads across mining operations. This role is essential in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of heavy vehicles within a mining setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Escort heavy vehicles and oversized loads safely within Autonomous Operating Zones at mining sites.
- Escort both autonomous and manned haul trucks within operational areas.
- Perform thorough pre-start checks to confirm escort vehicle road worthiness.
- Support traffic control operations and ensure transport routes remain safe and efficient.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with transport teams, site personnel, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure full compliance with road safety standards and site-specific procedures.
Skills and Experiences:
Key Requirements:
- Valid C Class manual driver’s licence
- Minimum 1 year of experience escorting heavy vehicles on active haul roads within Autonomous Operating Zones at mine sites.
- AOZ Part 1 and Part 2 certification preferred.
- White Card.
- Prior experience in escorting heavy vehicles, including radio communication and vehicle/equipment inspections.
- Strong understanding and practical knowledge of working with an autonomous heavy vehicle mine site / pit environment.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
