As the Workforce Educator - Improvement and Innovation, you'll empower staff to lead meaningful change, improve patient experiences, and build a culture of continuous improvement across the District.
Working within Education and Organisational Development Services, you'll play a pivotal role in developing the skills, knowledge and confidence of healthcare professionals to drive innovation and service redesign.
- Lead the design, development and delivery of innovative education programs in improvement science and clinical redesign.
- Drive capability uplift across a workforce of more than 17,000 staff, supporting better outcomes for patients, communities and teams.
- Partner with senior leaders, clinical experts and multidisciplinary teams to influence system-wide improvement initiatives.
- Develop contemporary, evidence-based learning solutions that align with strategic healthcare priorities and emerging workforce needs.

We're looking for a passionate educator, innovator and change champion who thrives in a cooperative environment and is committed to helping others succeed. You will bring solid education and facilitation skills, experience in improvement science or clinical redesign, and the ability to engage diverse stakeholders to deliver meaningful workforce outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience developing, delivering and evaluating education programs within a complex organisation.
- Sound understanding of improvement science, clinical redesign methodologies and adult learning principles.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, drive outcomes and adapt to changing demands.
- A commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous improvement and creating engaging learning experiences that support organisational success.
Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
- Has a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 or its successor (or TAE40110 plus the TAEASS502 and TAELLN411 units) and/or tertiary level post graduate qualification in adult education. Experience in the development and provision of education frameworks, training programs and packages in a complex environment, including relevant tertiary educational qualifications and or demonstrated equivalent professional experience.
- Describe a time when you designed, delivered and evaluated an education program or capability-building initiative that resulted in a measurable improvement in service delivery, workforce capability or organisational outcomes. What was your approach and what were the results
- This role focuses on improvement science and clinical redesign education. Please provide an example of a quality improvement, service redesign or change management project you have been involved in, outlining your contribution, key challenges and how you engaged stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
