Our Opportunity!
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to lead our estimating team and play a key role in delivering Living Gems projects.
This is a senior role with responsibility for managing and developing the estimating team, while remaining hands on with estimating, cost control, production estimating, and financial review activities across our residential developments.
What you’ll be doing:
- Oversee the preparation and review of detailed costings, take-offs and project budgets
- Manage production estimating activities for residential construction projects
- Process and verify invoices, claims and payment requests in accordance with project requirements
- Assess, review and vet variation claims, extra-over charges and cost adjustments to ensure they are justified, accurately priced and aligned with project budgets
- Develop detailed scopes of works and system templates
- Provide guidance and support to estimators, including review of complex or high-value estimates
- Identify opportunities to improve estimating systems, processes and efficiencies
- Work closely with site managers, consultants and internal teams
What You’ll Bring:
- 10+ years residential estimating experience (production background highly regarded)
- Previous experience leading and managing an estimating team
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and pricing structures
- High level proficiency in residential estimating software and construction costing systems.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and effectively utilise business systems and estimating platforms.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive mindset with the ability to make decisions, solve problems and drive outcomes
