Retail, Events and Social Media Assistant (Small Business)

About Hugh and Hyde

Hugh and Hyde is a leather monogramming boutique based in Rouse Hill, specialising in personalised, hand-embossed accessories.

What began as a bedroom side hustle in 2019 has grown into a retail store and live monogramming experience trusted by brands like Pinterest, Adobe, Pinterest, Amazon Ads, and Deloitte.

We create pieces that feel personal - where it’s not just about the product, but the meaning behind it.

3 main roles you'll have:

1. Boutique Assistant

- Deliver a high-touch, boutique / retail customer experience
- Guide customers through product selection and personalisation
- Drive sales through strong product knowledge and genuine connection
- Assist with monogramming (full training provided)
- Maintain store presentation and visual merchandising
- Support stock, packaging, and online order dispatch
- Work towards sales targets and track key performance metrics

2. Live Monogramming Event Assistant

- Represent Hugh and Hyde professionally at corporate events and activations.
- Perform live monogramming to a high standard in fast-paced event environments.
- Assist with event work flow, set-up, pack-down, stock and equipment.
- Engage confidently with clients and guests throughout the activation.

3. + Social Media Assistant (performance based)

- Capture and post content (Reels, TikTok, in-store BTS)
- Contribute to brand storytelling and real-time content
- Opportunities to step into marketing, PR, and events for high performers with minimal expeirence

Essential Requirements

- Must hold a valid driver’s licence and have access to a vehicle.
- Must have weekday availability for retail shifts, events and activations - especially Thursday Evenings.
- Preferably not studying and has flexible commitment to work and growing a business.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: Up to $34.76 per hour
