Williams Law Company is a young law firm headed by an experienced principal who has an excellent reputation for quality legal services. The firm operates in a collaborative and supportive environment and currently features a junior lawyer, two law clerks and our practice manager, providing a great learning and mentoring culture for developing legal professionals.

About the Role
We are seeking a friendly, skilled, organised, and proactive Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our office and delivering exceptional client service.
The position is currently structured as:
- Tuesday: 4-hour afternoon shift
- Wednesday: 9:00am to 5:00pm
- Thursday: 4-hour afternoon shift
- Friday: 4-hour afternoon shift
Additional hours may be available from time to time. The successful applicant must be available to work during school holidays and have the flexibility to assist in covering leave and supporting a team with varying work schedules.
This position would suit someone looking to commence a career in administration or the legal industry, while also being suitable for more experienced candidates seeking a flexible role.
Key Responsibilities
- Answering and directing telephone calls
- Greeting and assisting clients and visitors
- Scheduling appointments and managing diaries
- Assisting clients with enquiries
- Receiving, processing, and distributing mail
- Preparing documents for signing and execution
- Filing and document management
- Scanning, copying, and electronic document handling
- Posting and lodging documents
- Drafting basic correspondence and letters
- Maintaining a tidy and professional office environment
- Undertaking office errands and deliveries, including collecting mail and other items as required
- Providing general administrative support to the legal team
About You
The successful applicant will have:
- A professional, friendly, and client-focused manner
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills
- The ability to show initiative and identify tasks that need to be completed without constant supervision
- Competent computer skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Essential Requirements
- Current driver's licence
- Availability to work the rostered hours
- Availability during school holiday periods
- Ability to undertake local errands, including delivering and collecting mail and documents as required

Pay: From $26.42 per hour
