About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate NDIS Support Worker to provide a short daily evening shift, primarily focused on medication administration and routine evening support.
This role would suit a support worker who is highly reliable, attentive to detail and confident working independently.
Shift: Daily, approximately 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm, with some flexibility for the successful applicant to commence at 5:00 pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and/or assist with prescribed medications in accordance with the participant's medication documentation, support plan and relevant procedures.
- Provide routine evening support as required.
- Monitor and respond appropriately to any changes in the participant's presentation or support needs.
- Maintain accurate progress notes and medication documentation.
- Follow all participant-specific support plans, medication protocols and organisational policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with the participant, family and wider support team.
- Support the participant in a respectful, person-centred and capacity-building manner.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong commitment to consistent attendance.
- Experienced in medication administration within a disability/support environment.
- Calm, patient and professional.
- Confident working independently.
- Able to maintain accurate documentation and follow medication procedures carefully.
- Respectful of participant choice, privacy and dignity.
- A solid communicator who works well as part of a team.
Essential Requirements
- Current medication administration/assistance training relevant to the role.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card), where applicable.
- Current First Aid and CPR.
- Relevant disability, individual support or community services qualification, or relevant experience.
- Previous experience working with NDIS participants.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle.
- Ability to use technology for rostering, progress notes and documentation.
