We’re looking for a motivated Territory Sales Representative to develop our customer base across Melbourne’s western metropolitan region. This is an on-road role with a strong focus on winning new business, visiting customers and turning opportunities into lasting relationships.

About the role

You’ll take ownership of your territory, proactively identifying potential customers and meeting with businesses to understand their equipment needs. You’ll combine new business development with ongoing account management, supported by our internal sales team.

What you’ll be doing

- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across western Melbourne.
- Prospecting by phone, email and in-person visits to secure customer meetings.
- Introducing customers to Verdex’s product range and explaining how our equipment can benefit their business.
- Visiting warehouses, manufacturing facilities, logistics businesses and other workplaces.
- Understanding customer needs and recommending suitable equipment solutions.
- Preparing proposals and coordinating quotes with the internal sales team.
- Managing your sales pipeline, keeping opportunities moving from initial contact through to a completed sale.
- Following up opportunities, negotiating sales and winning recent accounts.
- Building relationships with existing customers to increase repeat business.




- Planning your territory coverage and maintaining accurate customer records.
- Working towards agreed sales and business development targets.

What you’ll bring

- Experience in business development, territory sales or another customer-facing sales role.
- Confidence approaching new customers, securing meetings and presenting Verdex’s offering.
- Strong relationship-building, communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience managing a sales pipeline and progressing deals through each stage of the sales process.
- A proactive, positive mindset and the resilience to handle knockbacks while maintaining momentum with cold calling and prospecting.
- Good organisation, consistent follow-through and the ability to manage your own schedule.
- A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel throughout your territory.
- Experience selling industrial, warehouse or workplace equipment would be highly regarded.
