Disability Support Worker – Youth & Autism Support

Vitium Cura Pty Ltd is urgently seeking an experienced, reliable and compassionate Disability Support Worker to provide 1:1 support to a young participant with Autism in Lilywood, QLD.

The successful candidate will support the participant to build independence, establish positive routines, and safely participate in everyday activities at home and in the community.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide person-centred 1:1 support
- Support daily living, personal care and independence-building skills
- Assist with meal preparation and household activities
- Facilitate community access and social participation
- Support routines and transitions
- Apply positive behaviour support and de-escalation strategies where required
- Follow participant-specific support plans and risk assessments
- Maintain professional boundaries and safeguarding practices
- Complete accurate progress notes and incident documentation
- Communicate appropriately with the participant, family and Vitium Cura team

About You

We are looking for someone who:

- Has previous disability support experience
- Has experience supporting young people with Autism, highly desirable
- Has experience with behaviours of concern,



emotional regulation or Positive Behaviour Support
- Is calm, patient, reliable and consistent
- Promotes participant choice, dignity and independence
- Has strong communication and documentation skills
- Is available Monday to Friday for 4-hour shifts

Requirements

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Blue Card / Working with Children requirements, where applicable
- Current First Aid & CPR
- National Police Check
- Valid Australian Driver Licence
- Reliable vehicle with current registration and comprehensive insurance where transport is required
- Valid Australian working rights
- Relevant disability/community services qualification preferred
