Join our team as Director, Application Development and Delivery and lead high-performing technical teams, shape enterprise decisions and deliver secure, high-quality applications with lasting impact.
This new, full-time, ongoing role within the Enterprise Technology Group offers flexible working arrangements and can be located in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Darwin, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth or Sydney.
Remuneration: The annual salary range for the position is EL2 - $145,680 - $ 165,622 p.a., plus a generous employer superannuation contribution of 15.4%.
About the chance
This role leads the strategic direction, delivery and modernisation of the Tribunal’s enterprise case management systems and broader application portfolio—critical technology that supports application management, case workflows and access to justice.
Partnering with senior executives, business leaders, technology specialists and vendors, you will shape digital priorities, lead complex enterprise-scale programs and build a high-performing multidisciplinary team across delivery, business analysis, change and continuous improvement.
This influential role offers the opportunity to strengthen essential legacy platforms, define the Tribunal’s future case management capability and advance its broader technology, data and digital transformation agenda.
About you:
As an accomplished technology leader with experience delivering large-scale business and digital transformation in complex environments, you combine strategic thinking and sound technical judgement with strong program governance, risk management and decision-making skills, translating business needs into practical technology outcomes. An influential communicator and collaborative leader, you build trusted relationships and guide multidisciplinary teams with ease, and champion customer-focused service.
To be successful you will have:
- Extensive experience leading development teams to deliver highly complex enterprise applications, including experience with platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 and comparable platforms.
- Highly developed strategic thinking, judgement and problem-solving skills, including the ability to translate highly complex business and legislative requirements into practical technology outcomes.
- Robust understanding of application development, integration, testing and release practices, with the ability to provide informed advice and challenge technical approaches.
- Strong program governance, risk,
security and assurance experience, ensuring development activities operates within established frameworks and architectural direction.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, influencing and communication skills, including the ability to provide authoritative advice and explain highly complex technical matters clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary and geographically dispersed teams, build capability and accountability, and foster a customer-focused culture of collaboration, innovation, change and continuous improvement.
Qualifications / Experience
Essential:
Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or professional certifications; or equivalent substantial relevant experience Significant experience leading enterprise ICT products, services or application portfolios within a highly complex organisation

Extensive experience in the development, implementation and management of Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365 and comparable enterprise platforms

- Demonstrated experience managing critical operational systems and highly complex technology delivery programs, including the leadership of multidisciplinary teams.
Desirable:
- A degree or postgraduate qualification in information technology, digital, business, management or a related discipline
- Professional certification in product management, Agile, Scrum, SAFe, ITIL, COBIT, TOGAF, PRINCE2 or PMBOK.
