Duty Manager (Casual), IMAX Sydney

The role
We're looking for a Duty Manager to join the team at IMAX Sydney. You'll be the person who keeps the show running, taking responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the cinema, leading and coaching the team on shift, and making sure every guest leaves with a great experience, from the foyer to the projection booth.

What you'll be doing

- Supervising and training the cinema team on a shift-by-shift basis
- Running the cinema, including session presentation and technical troubleshooting (full training provided)
- Keeping guests at the heart of every decision and resolving customer feedback
- Driving revenue across all areas, including promotions, campaigns, events and corporate functions
- Managing cash handling, safe and register balancing, stock control and end-of-day reporting
- Supporting rostering, timesheets and payroll
- Upholding workplace health and safety, food hygiene standards and incident reporting

What you'll bring

- Proven experience supervising or leading a team in cinema, retail or hospitality




- Cash handling and food and beverage experience
- Above-average computer literacy
- A current First Aid Certificate
- A current NSW RSA Certificate
- Excellent communication skills and personal presentation
- A genuine interest in technology and cinema, with a willingness to learn projection and digital equipment
- Availability to work key trading periods, including nights, weekends and public holidays
