About The Role

The Sustainable Agriculture Support Officer will work closely with the Sustainable Agriculture Facilitator to help deliver key outcomes across Melbourne Water’s Climate Smart Agriculture programs, funded through the Australian Government’s Regional Delivery Partners Program.

This role is primarily office-based, with approximately 80% of the position focused on administration, coordination, reporting, and program support activities. While the role will occasionally assist with workshops, events, and stakeholder engagement activities, event support is not a core component of the position.

Working collaboratively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including the Australian Government, community groups, Traditional Owner organisations, and the agricultural sector, you will play an important role in supporting the successful delivery of Climate Smart Agriculture initiatives.

This is a part-time opportunity (2 days per week) on an 18-month fixed-term contract,



based at Melbourne Water’s Docklands Head Office. Occasional travel to Bangholme may be required.

In this role you will:

- Provide administrative support to ensure the effective, compliant, and efficient delivery of Climate Smart Agriculture programs and partnerships.
- Support program coordination activities, including scheduling, documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communications.
- Assist with monitoring and evaluation activities, including the collection, management, and reporting of program data.
- Track program milestones, funding commitments, and progress against agreed outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records, databases, and documentation in line with organisational processes and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate occasional workshops, events, and stakeholder engagement activities to support program outcomes.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders to support successful program delivery.

About You

You will be a highly organised and detail-oriented professional with strong administration and stakeholder engagement skills, and a passion for supporting sustainability-focused initiatives.

You will bring:

- Strong written communication skills, including experience preparing reports, presentations, and stakeholder correspondence.
- Demonstrated experience in administration, scheduling, and tracking grants or funding programs.
- Experience maintaining project or program data and monitoring delivery progress.
- Excellent attention to detail and well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Robust time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines.
- Experience coordinating or supporting workshops, events, or stakeholder engagement activities.
