Key Responsibilities
Azure Architecture & Solution Design
- Design end-to-end Azure architectures to support SAP-to-SaaS data migration in a utilities context.
- Define target-state migration solution using Azure services including:
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure Synapse Analytics
- Azure Logic Apps
- Azure Functions
- Azure Service Bus / Event Grid
- Azure SQL, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake Gen2
Data Migration
- Architect migration of utilities CRM data, including customer, account, premise, meter, contract, billing, and interaction data.
- Ensure data models are mapped correctly between SAP, Azure, and SaaS CRM platforms.
- Define reconciliation, validation, and exception-handling processes to support billing accuracy and customer service continuity.
Integration Architecture
- Design integration between SAP, Azure middleware, and SaaS CRM platforms using API-driven, event-based, or batch patterns.
- Support near‑real‑time integration where required for customer updates and service workflows.
- Work with integration platforms such as SAP CPI, Azure Integration Services, or equivalent tooling.
Security, Compliance & Governance
- Ensure designs comply with utilities regulatory requirements, including GDPR, data residency, and audit obligations.
- Implement Azure-native security controls:
- Azure Active Directory (Entra ID)
- RBAC, Managed Identities
- Private Endpoints and Network Security Groups
- Encryption at rest and in transit
- Define governance for data lifecycle management, monitoring, and logging using Azure Monitor and Azure Policy.
Delivery & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with utilities business stakeholders, CRM SMEs, SAP teams, SaaS vendors, and Azure engineers.
- Translate business and regulatory needs into transparent, practical architecture designs.
- Provide architectural governance throughout build,
test, cutover, and post‑migration phases.
- Support SIT, UAT, market or regional cutovers, and production go‑live.
Required Skills & Experience
Utilities & Domain Experience
- Strong background in the utilities sector (energy, water, gas, or multi-utility).
- Solid understanding of utilities CRM data domains, including:
- Customers and accounts
- Premises and meters
- Contracts, tariffs, and billing-related data
- Customer interactions and service cases
- Experience supporting customer service or billing transformation programmes.
Azure & Cloud Skills
- Proven experience designing enterprise-scale solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Strong knowledge of Azure data, integration, and security services.
- Experience with hybrid integration between on-premise SAP environments and Azure (VPN / ExpressRoute).
Professional Experience
- 7+ years’ experience in Solution Architecture or Cloud Architecture roles.
- Experience working in complex, regulated environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Desirable (Nice to Have)
- Experience with utilities-specific SAP solutions (e.g. IS‑U, S/4 Utilities).
- Experience migrating to or integrating with SaaS CRM platforms (e.g. Salesforce, Dynamics 365, industry SaaS CRMs).
- Knowledge of SAP CPI integrated with Azure.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD for data and integration pipelines.
- Microsoft certifications:
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Azure Data Engineer Associate
Key Deliverables
- Azure target-state architecture aligned to utilities and CRM needs.
- SAP-to-SaaS CRM data migration strategies and cutover plans.
- Security, compliance, and operational design artefacts.
- Architecture assurance and knowledge transfer to delivery teams.
Pay: From $140,000.00 per year
